Niglirine Ointment is used to treat pain from anal fissures (a split or tear in the tissue near the rectal area). Niglirine is in a class of medications called vasodilators. Niglirine ointment prevents angina by relaxing the blood vessels so that the heart does not need to work as hard and therefore does not need as much oxygen. Niglirine ointment treats anal fissure pain by relaxing the blood vessels, which reduces the pressure in the anal tissues.
HOW TO USE NIGLIRINE OINTMENT
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.
HOW NIGLIRINE OINTMENT WORKS
Niglirine Ointment is a nitrate which is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream. Once absorbed, it relaxes the blood vessels thereby decreasing the oxygen demand of the heart and reducing its workload. It thus prevents attacks of angina (chest pain).
